Hi! Welcome to the Youth Re:Action Team website!

This site will keep you up to date on our project – what we’re doing, forthcoming events, press information etc. It is also a source of information for young people who want to find out more about regeneration in Barrow-in-Furness.

Regeneration means lots of things but basically it’s improving our communities with a focus on:

  • housing
  • jobs
  • shops
  • transport
  • education
  • safety
  • leisure facilities
  • open spaces
  • lifestyle
  • the economy
  • the environment…

It is our job to make sure that YOU have a say in what happens in YOUR town. We think this is important because it is the town where we live, and we’re the ones who will be living and working here in the future. We are finding out about regeneration, and wanting to talk to you to find out your views on what makes Barrow a great place to live. We plan to then make recommendations to organisations involved in the future regeneration of the town.

The 2010 YRAT Team!
